As far as I know, it doesn’t allow project management for a team but it is an excellent personal assistant to keep you on track. You can also display only the notes on one tab and you can search through them. The notes section is also excellent for keeping that day’s notes or for journaling. You can use voice commands to add meetings to iCal which then show up in Planner Pro and your reminders also show up in Planner Pro but they are not listed on the main ABC task list itself. I am hoping that one day I can use voice commands to add tasks directly to Planner Pro.

You can update almost everything via phone except the project the task is associated with. You can then take the whole thing with you on your phone.

Tasks can be tied to goals or projects on the iPad and Mac version to keep you on track. Incomplete tasks are automatically carried over to the next day. You can also attach reminders if they have to happen at a specific time. (example: A1 task is urgent and important and should be done first. Many choices are available for repetition (daily, weekly etc) Tasks are then assigned by the user to the ABC system with a numeral following to further clarify the importance of the task. It is easy to use and has a nice interface. In short, I couldn’t imagine this calendar really cutting it for someone with a busy life and complex schedule, but it is fine for every day use just to keep track of your time in general.īest productivity/task list program I have found in its price range.
The whole repeating of tasks and events is just a bit whack, there almost always seems to be some kind of inconvenience about it that makes me end up putting in the events manually for the next several weeks. I bought the pro version to enable recurring tasks, but it is only possible to repeat every day when I wanted to schedule them once a week. Notes are virtually useless unless you open the calendar every day and look for them - otherwise there is no reminder and even in the calendar they are quite small and easy to miss. I think the notes and tasks could have been done better.

Don’t spend your money unless you have to because you get basically all of the great features with the free version the biggest difference is that you won’t be prompted to buy full access every time you accidentally flip your phone to landscape.

The upgrade to pro is really a minimal improvement, but for $5 a year it’s not unreasonable. I don’t have a huge schedule to organize, so this app is enough to meet my needs.
